AREA OF EXPERTISE ONSHORE & OFFSHORE
- Assisting the Company with the Tender Documents, Delivering accurate AFE, Developing Operating manuals, Job Safety Analysis and SIMOPS combining the latest practices and regulations with Health, Safety & Environment policies required by the Authorities.
- Provide Well engineering whether with conventional hole size, small/slim hole, horizontal & directional hole and Underbalanced Drilling & Completion.
- Motivating and supervising the planning and operating team consisting of Drilling Engineer, Logistic Officer, Operation Accountant, Site Supervisors, Drilling Fluids Engineer and Environmental Engineer.
- Successful and efficient supervision of the drilling and completion operations encompassing Materials and Logistic, Drilling, Well Testing and Single Completion whether with conventional hole size, small/slim hole, horizontal and directional hole.
- Liaise closely with Local Management and Local Engineering personnel to ensure a smooth amalgamation of the Company expectations and the expatriate company's personnel attitude with the country regulations, working practices and culture.
- Accurate weekly and daily reporting to the head office during the planning as well as the operating phases.
PART OF SERVICES INCLUDES:
- Assisting all members of the planning and operating teams with their respective tasks and maintaining well costs.
- Managing day to day field operations to deliver wells within the AFE and Company Policy fully delivering the well objectives.
- Leading the tendering process to review and select 3rd party services company proposal.
I have very good knowledge of eastern type services and management practices acquired in Cuba and Albania.
- Researching, preparing and evaluating well designs and associated AFE to meet JOA driven and consent deadlines.
- Establishing the testing program with excellent knowledge of Open Hole Drill Stem Testing.
- Developing, tendering and design of site construction, rehabilitation and waste management procedures in accordance with local environmental regulations and Company image.
- Delivering a safe and effective worksite.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Gained over 32 years with 25 years onshore and 7 years offshore.
Since 1990
Involved with over 110 drilling projects since 1990.
The position held over all projects combines Project Drilling Manager to Drilling Superintendent, Senior Drilling Engineer to Drilling Supervisor during the execution phase.
- Extensive exposure to exploration projects in remote desert-flat & sand dunes-, jungle and swamp areas as well as multi-wells per pad in dairy farm country.
- Good theoretical and operating knowledge of under-balanced Drilling using Gas, Nitrogen or Diesel Vertical & Horizontal wells with presence of H2S.
- Excellent communicating and adaptation skills to any country and local operating practices.
- Excellent planning and knowledge skills in all local and international operating practices on conventional, small/slim hole, horizontal and Directional projects.
- Excellent planning and operating knowledge of Open Hole Drill Stem Test and cased hole test.
- Good planning and operating knowledge of cased hole and barefoot completion including short horizontal completion.
- Excellent knowledge of drilling rigs and Drilling Contractors practices and policies.
- Excellent operating knowledge of PHPA/KCL mud and knowledge of Glycol system.
- Excellent knowledge of access, site construction and rehabilitation work.
- Excellent logistic and accounting capability facilitating AFE formulation and operating costs.
- Experience in Australian National Park and Natural Reserves.

2008- VERMILION OIL & GAS AUSTRALIA
Senior Drilling Engineer for a two shallow extended reach wells program (580m TVD & 3100m MD) to drain attic oil between gas and 18 existing horizontal oil producers.
1996 to 2007 CHEVRON
My involvement with Chevron as a Senior Drilling Engineer started in 1996 and extended over project based periods either offshore or onshore in 1999 and 2000, 2001, 2003-04-05 and 2007. Work included planning, execution and drilling supervision of series of vertical and horizontal development wells either in Australia or Papua New Guinea. Also involved with an extensive FEED programme linked to a deep CO2 sequestration project in a class A natural reserve
2007 BARAKA PETROLEUM LTD
Acting as observer for a deep well drilled in Mauritania with China National Petroleum Company being the operator
2001 to 2005 AUSAM RESOURCES LTD
My involvement with Ausam as Drilling Superintendent started in 2001 and extended over project based periods in 2002, 03, 04 and 2005. Work included planning and execution of series of wells drilled underbalanced with drilling rigs & four phase separation package such as Halliburton BRT or with coil tubing.
2002 KUFPEC INDONESIA
Kufpec had two underbalance wells to drill in carbonate on Seram Island using the Halliburton BRT package and with my knowledge of underbalance drilling and that particular package I was contracted over the two well projects
2000 to 2002 HARDMAN RESOURCES NL
My involvement with Hardman as Project Manager started in 2000 and extended over project based periods in 2000, 01 and 02. Work included complete planning and drilling supervision of series of exploration wells with one well drilled in the city of Rome.
1996 to 1998 PREMIER OIL (UK)
My involvement with Premier Oil as In- Country Project Manager started in Albania followed by Pakistan and Cuba. Reporting to London but responsible for all in-country aspects of the exploration drilling projects.
